Description
Justice Club will participate in three separate competitions: The Charter Challenge, Ethics Bowl, and Competitive Mock Trial. The Charter Challenge asks students to work in teams of four to submit a written factum to the Ontario Court of Appeal education team. If students make the finals, a team of four students may be required to travel to Toronto to present their arguments to Judges at the Ontario Court of Appeal the week of December 15th. If this is the case, the cost of this extra trip will be shared with the parents involved. The Ethics Bowl will take place at the Carleton University on Saturday, February 7th from 9:00am to 4:00pm. Students will need to be dropped off and picked up from Carleton University. Our Competitive Mock Trial team will compete at the Ottawa Courthouse in late April or May.
To cover tournament entry and transportation costs, each member is asked to pay a fee of $75.00.
